1969 - My first experience with embroidery was in first form high school, I was 12 years old and this is what I embroidered on the front of a petticoat (the H is for Holmes, my maiden name).

1970 - This piece was the sleeve cuff/trim on a night dress that I made for school, it was a strange nighty but the embroidery wasn't bad!! I used one of the cuffs in 'hearts and flowers', my first crazy quilt.
